Volunteering
Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month the Food Pantry takes place at Household of Faith. This Charity helps people in emergencies. Whether it’s one displaced family, hundreds of hungry families, or providing prayers and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
Household of Faith Charities is always looking for people with various backgrounds, talents and skill levels. Our needs are often specific based on current events and levels of ground support, but we’ll do our best to accommodate your desire to get involved!
The following is a list of typical HOF Charities volunteer opportunities:
Volunteer Management – Assist with attendee registration, volunteer recruitment, placement, record keeping and recognition.
Driver – Drive to the set location to pick up donated food and units from our local partners to deliver to the church on our food pantry and/or our express food pantry days to be distributed to our attendees.
Language Bank – Utilize your language skills to translate for those that can’t speak English at our food pantries as well as events such as “The Finale” by “Open Heavens”.
Social Media – Be an online advocate and tell the mission and vision of HOF Charities by utilizing your social media profile.
Clerical – During the Food Pantry and/or Express Food Pantry, you will assist with administrative tasks if needed or required. Please see Emeka Agumadu for more information.
Support Staff – Help with routine duties such as stocking food and handing out food at our local food pantries.
Special Events – Support the fundraising of special events such as “The Finale” by “Open Heavens” which is our annual free Christian concert that takes place every year in December, during this concert, we bring popular Christian artists to perform as well as create awareness of what HOF Charities is doing within the community.
